I am a young Ukrainian lady pursuing a STEM-designated graduate program in public policy/data science at Carnegie Mellon University. In the past, I completed a policy fellowship program at Harvard University to bring the best public policy practices to Ukraine. For the past 5 years, I’ve consulted the Ukrainian government and businesses on economic development and received multiple international recognitions and awards. This February, I was forced to flee Ukraine, so I moved to the D.C. to run multiple communication, advocacy, and fundraising campaigns. Now I am joining the world’s top-3 public policy/data science program to upgrade my skills thus better contributing to Ukraine’s long-term economic recovery.
